Process of Holler Paper
The first thing that I did when I wrote this paper is made the paper read like an outline. That told me my outline was good but the paper was not. When I was told that my paper was not written well, I felt a bit of disappointment. So, I took a base of action and talk to my teacher on how I should write it which helped a lot.
When I began to rewrite my essay on my chapter I reread my notes and put that plus what my teacher said together. I had a lot to say about my chapter since it reflects mainly on his relationship with his mother. As I was sitting their typing away I began to feel Tupac’s pain.
When I was talking to my teacher about what I should write and she gave me lots of examples, which helped write about my chapter. Since I did it wrong the first time I wrote it, I had to start over completely. Starting an assignment over completely makes me feel horrible, because I put a lot of effort in the assignment. On the other hand starting an assignment over is kind of good because you now know what not to do.
I also learn what I should put in the essay and what not to put in the essay. I decided to use some of the same things but not all. In my mind some of the things I said in my outline were quite accurate. I decided to keep my poem in because it goes with the title of the chapter I was doing. The chapter was very touching because of the type of relationship he had with his mother.
In conclusion, I think my paper turned out pretty good since I hade to write it twice. It made it seem easier since I knew what I should and should not put in. Tupac’s life was quite out of the ordinary at least for my taste of what a childhood should be like.

Was Tupac forced in the life he had or did he choose it himself?
I believe he did not have a choice because of the lifestyle he had at home. He was forced to become independent at an early age. I also, think that uit only made him stronger as a person. A he grew up he decided how he wanted his life to form. I believe you are the person runing your life. Some people say they rather let nature take its course and lets just see what happens. I believe you have to make things happen for yourself. One line I always hear is that you have to be your own advocate.
So, for my conclusion of what I think of this question I believe Tupac made his life the way he wanted it to be after he went through his horrible childhood.

Free write on the poem What Is It That I Search 4
In the poem "What is it that i search 4," talks about searching for a certain something and not knowing if you find it or knowing what to do if he or she achieves there mission. It says at least to me your heart maybe blinded as you figure out what you r searching for. Sometimes it may take years to figure it all out. No one knows why it takes that long it could just be the way of life. As everyone searches for the answer for what they are loking for there is a sign of relief when the answer is found. Why do people come to conclusions right away.

Self Reflection on own performance
As for my self reflection on my own performance, I felt I did well but I was nervous. I Practiced my presentation, but I am not sure if it showed. What I think I can do better for my next presentation is get more evidence to back up my fax. Doing a presentation is something that does not come easy for me. Now that it is down i feel happy.

As for all the chapters in and presentation everyone did great. Everyone seemed to know their chapter. I really enjoyed listening to everyone tell their chapter and see what they gathered from it. I felt like I learned a lot from all the presentations.

Robert King
His life was very hard since he was sent to prison for a crime he never committed too. He was sentenced for 35 years and then another 8 for when he escaped to bring the total up to 43 years. Another reason King said he was arrested was because he was part of the Black Panthers. He repeated quite a few times that our law system really needs to be fixed. People were getting arrested just because they had a criminal record and their record fit the profile of the suspect the cops were looking for. The cops used the strategy of one by one elimination.His life seemed very depressing. I am glad he is doing well now though.

Tupucs Interviews
Tupuc interview number one:
Tupuc's first interview first interview was with Bakari. Tupuc was an eighteen year old kid when he was doing his first interview. His mainly talking about his name. Tupuc discussed the true meaning of his African Name. Tupuc also talked about how the new black panthers had a negative impact. He and Dyson comfirmed that he worked with the New Black Panthers.
It is almost impossible to escape the name that you were given. It is key that you always know the meaning of your original name before you decide to pick one for yourself. Tupuc was able to release himself from his original name when he renamed himself Tupuc.
When the callers called during the interview they had so many questions. One question was what was a womens rule in the New Black Panthers? Tupuc replied they helped organized all the main events. The people in the New Black Panthers community was the ages thirteen to twenty-five. Tupuc was also asked about the attack on African Americans that took place in Virgina Beach. He had some serious range in his response.

Tupuc Decides to talk about the popularity of the hip-hop music world. When Tupuc lived in Merlin they taught him the true meaning of his music.

The Meaning of the Name
In The meaning of the Name Felicia Pride discuss the way she acts with her alter ego. One day when she was in Spanish class the word "negra" was said out loud which was referring to a "black woman". Sometimes one ego can be so strong it has a mind of its own. One thing Pride did was she used Jay-Z and Emminame as key examples for her inspiration.
An alter ego doesn't have to be a dangerous path it can be something you just have inside you all along without knowing it. When Tupuc fought for rights for African americans he also fought for women rights.

Chapter 3 summary
Tupuc was a man who loved to get an education. One reason I believe he reached for higher heights was because of the childhood he had. He had to learn everything the hard way. His mom gave him a home, but didn't seem to care what he did. She was dealing with her issues through his childhood. That is the point in your life when everything is supposed to fall in place.
Tupuc moved a total of twenty times by the time he was a junior in high school. When he lived in Baltimore he realized how bad the conditions were.
In conclusion, Tupuc was always willing to learn something new. I believe he was very talented. I wish he was still with us and he was a type of artist that likes changing the world for the better.

Sacrifice
Tupuc says when he cries I am alone. His life was all about sacrifing. His childhood was pretty much shot. He had to learn life the hard way. His mother was addicted to drugs and had no concern for him as a young boy. He disowned hos mother due to the life style she had. When some people cry there is not a sholder to lean on. At times you may find it difficult to carry on with their lives. His mother was an ex-panther. No one seemed to care if you cry.
In chapter two of "Holler If You Hear Me" Dyson writes, about how Tupuc had to be so independent as a young boy and dont ever depends on anyone. His mother taught him somethings a young boy should not know just yet. Also seeing your mom getting arrested was tough too.

Brendas Baby
Brenda is a twelve year old girl whos was having a baby. Brenda could barely spell her name. When the community heard that she was having a baby they were in a dissapproval mood. She was left to raise this chilld all by herself. She should of never gotten pregnant.
On this disturbing note, her cousin was her boyfriend. I guess you cant grow when you live in the ghetto. When she gave birth to the baby she was on the bathroom floor. How sad is that? At one point she felt liker her life was out of control.

Chapter one sentences:
1. Tupuc suggests that he is not alone in his adoration of his mother. " Ithink all young black males and all Hispanic males, all males period, but especial from the ghetto... we have a deep love for our mothers, because they usually raised us by themselves. (pg 21-22)
Analogies: the way he felt about his mother, and the bond that was there.
2. If the mother is central in black life, she also made a scapegoat for the social disintegration of black culture. (page 22)

Stewart Pidd's Essay
In order to punctuate sentences correctly the writers must understand the rules and concepts of writing. A clause is a group of words containing a subject and a verb. The two types of clauses are independent and subordinate clauses. An independent clause can stand alone as a complete sentence, while a dependent clause needs a subordinate to help it stand as a complete sentence. A phrase is a group of words that do not contain a subject or a verb. There are three common sentence errors and they are a fragment, a comma splice and a run-on sentence. A fragment is a sentence that is missing a verb or subject. A comma splice is a sentence that is only punctuated with a comma. Now thirdly a run-on sentence consist of two independent clauses without the correct punctuation. As i read the essay i found way to many errors and that's why I think Stewart deserves a "D" not a passing grade.
The first error was a run-on sentence. This happens between skating rules and I rock. Beside having a bad sentence structure he is sounding pretty cocky to me about his skating skills. This sentence seems to have nothing to do with the rest of the essay.
The second error that Stewart makes is between these two sentences If I skate. I win. These are both independent clauses. The way i would fix it is by the taking away the period from the first independent clause and put a comma there so the two sentences become one. You should always combine the two sentences that go together, because it makes your writing look better.
The third error that Stewart made was when he said I don't like coach T's learning methods. The error in my opinion occurred between the second and last sentence of the first paragraph. The way he would have to fix the error is by take the period out and connect the sentence with a conjunction.

The case could be made, certainly that art is powerful, that it changes and can be a change agent. Dyson argues Tupac’s legend it what it is precisely because of his foresight and visionary words. In fact, Dyson calls Tupac on a number of occasions a prophet. How does Dyson do this so eloquently? Discuss the author’s craft and skillful use of his material. Discuss his resources and scholarship. How do you know Dyson is an expert?
Introduction: Tupuc changed the art of rap music. In my opinion rap music used to mean something, but now all I ever hear is curse words and the sentences dont make any sence to me. His lyrics were so powereful you could feel the pain of the words he was singing. He definitely spoke from the heart. I t hik the lyrics were also tied to what he saw everyday.
Body: I beive Dyson calls Tupuc a prophet, because to he spoke to his fans regularly and was able to send a message behind his music. When one reads the Introduction, Michael Eric Dyson certainly presents a case for Tupac—the scholar. Discuss the author’s use of the subject’s work and public response, his comparisons of Tupac to other great writers and finally his references to others who carry the torch now that Tupac is gone.
Introduction: Tupuc is one of the greatest rappers of all time. Dyson decided to write a book about Tupucs life. I believe Tupuc would be pleased if he could see the book that Dyson wrote about him. Tupc was a public icon without a doubt. He cared a lot about people.
Body: With Tupuc being a big icon as he was it was hard for people to hate him. He made his peers work harder due to the great things he accomplished. His music was inspirational to the countless thousands. He spoke from his heart and just went with the flow. Some felt like he was like Dr. King when he spoke. 1. Tupuc's words would prove more prophetic than anyone could have guessed starting at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1998, a slew of college courses dedicated to studing Tupuc's body of work cropped up after his death.

Musians helping on Hurricane Katrina
The music band U2 helped by having a contribute concert for the survivors. Many other musians attended the concert as well. With all the musians they raised over $2,436,900 which was fantastic. The U2 band also had some auctions on some of their equimptment. The money was sent down to New Orleans to help the survivors rebuild their homes and cities. Their main goal was to raise money to help the hurricane survivors.

Summary of Many Thousands Gone
In the essay summary of many thousands gone, James writes about the life of an African American who expresses himself by music. White People do not understand this concept. When White people hear his story they are shocked by the out come. African Americans are viewed as second class citizens which is very sad. When African Americans were slaves they were considered worthless. White people wanted the African Americans to be scared of them. Being an African American was very tough for all the people back then. The African Americans had no privileges and were striped of their dignity. There lives were very difficult. The less people who knew them the better off they were because whites thought that they did not deserve an education of any sort. Some non African Americans felt uneasy around them. Therefore, when one walked into a room full of white people there was dead silence. In conclusion I feel sorry for all the things that the African Americans went through.

The thing that catches my eye is the way he expresses his feelings about our history and be adopted to a strange land. The immigrants who came to this country unwillingly felt like they were useless and were treated with little or no respect. To most people the immigrant’s role was to work from sunrise to sundown with very little pay. So since the immigrants were not white they were told dark skin was a terrible color to be born with. Mr. Richard Native Son is the first one to become a successful story through these trying times. There has always been a good battle between the circumstances and the youth of the person in those situations. The color barrier was a problem because it would always hold the African Americans back so the white man can feel some what superior.One African American was very lucky to learn how to read and write. He liked acting like a member of congress. The congress job was a big responsibility. Another way that African Americans were proud of one another was because they believed they could work through these tough epic times.Mr. Wright needed someone to become a key icon. No matter how huge this icon got his people or anyone gave him the respect he deserved. Being an African American is so difficult because you need to make sure what you say will not be used against you later. Without making to much of a mess the African Americans were trying to take control of their society.In conclusion I believe the dark days are behind him. Another way you take this is how much the white man had to learn about the African American culture.

Music is the only way Americans were able to understand the African American's stories. When Americans now a days would hear this story we become so shocked and cant believe what we were hearing. The Africans American felt like they were being betrayed just because of their skin. We must view ourselves before we can view someone else.
Full Moon Over New Orleans After The Hurricane
Hurricane Katrine was a horrific event. Many people lost their lives. The homes in New Orleans were destroyed and left looking like scrap. The moon was full that night and had a shiny glow to it. It took a long time to recover from the accident. The city that liked to live the life style of easy street was now all under destroyed houses and no one knew what to do. Most citizens just wanted to get out alive. The Hurricane became the front line news report so the whole world was aware of this terrible accident. The moonlight made some people feel at peace for a period of time. We sent a lot of help for the people in New Orleans. Most people had to stay in home shelters just to make ends meet. The people of New Orleans were very grateful for the report that they received. I hope nothing like this happens again anytime soon.
